To objectively assess the robot’s peak performance without external interference, the Innovation metric will be determined through the following challenge.
- Each team will have up to 3 chances to participate in this challenge.
- In each round, teams have 90 seconds to accomplished the following tasks using one robot:
- Pickup pixels from the human player position and place them on the dashboard.
- Hang robot at the center stage once in the end.
- Scoring for each task above is the same as outlined in the FTC Center Stage game (game manual here)
- At the end of each round, sum up all scores.
- The highest score achieved across the three rounds will be used as the final metric score.
- In the event of a tie for the highest score, the second highest score will be used to break the tie. If there is still a tie, the third score will be considered. If ties persist, the game will be replayed until a tiebreaker is resolved.
The game field set up is same as Center Stage game. If there are questions, please refer to the official FTC rules.
