Upload programs to Micro:bit

  • You need a *.hex file (Microbit Program) before uploads. You can download the HelloWorld example program from here.
  • Unzip it by double-clicking.
  • Drag the microbit-Hello-World.hex file into the MICROBIT drive.
  • After the yellow LED light flashes, signaling the code has been uploaded, the micro:bit LED will show a smiley face.

Windows, MAC, Chromebook and Linux have slightly different buttons to click for Microbit program uploads. Refer to following Tutorials for details. Then practice program uploading.
